Duet for two string trios is a sensory fusion of dance and music, lyrical and intimate but at the same time intense and disruptive, like the times in which we are living. The music of contemporary composer Charles Wuorinen – influenced by Stravinsky and related to Schoenberg – takes us to a world that refuses to be pigeonholed. Complex as it is, it is this world that makes dance possible.
