Bruges voices from the Renaissance
GOLD interlinks the best of Bruges's Golden Age: the fascinating city history, the built heritage, the art treasures and above all the music, which for centuries literally set the tone, from Scandinavia to the tip of Italy, and from England to Poland. This second (postponed) edition of the festival edition explores the amazing, detective-story-worthy history of the thoroughly Bruges Lucca Choirbook and the fabulous music on its parchment pages. It also examines connections between Bruges and Italy, and the cultural significance of foreign merchants, such as Giovanni di Nicolao Arnolfini.
