A double duet of two dancers and two pianos, in response to the lockdown
A slow and gentle struggle with fear and uncertainty, a resistance to violence, a curiosity about the other... After more than five years behind the scenes, choreographers and resident artists Claire Croizé & Etienne Guilloteau have chosen to go back on stage: a symbolic act, and not only because of the past spring’s months of forced isolation. Retour Amont is a reflection on the recent past, but also on ECCE's earlier work, on what is essential and on what the future may have in store. With this duet, our choreographer couple aim to open a dialogue about what constitutes being together.
