Poème Electronique – by architect-painter Le Corbusier, composer Edgard Varèse and architect-composer Iannis Xenakis – was the multimedia sensation of Expo '58. From the outset, however, its commissioner, the Philips electronics company, had its own idea about the interplay of colour, light and sound. In From harmony to chaos architect Jan de Heer and composer Kees Tazelaar made a careful analysis of Le Corbusier's original, never-executed scenario. This evening they tell their story and present their complete new reconstruction.
