Three major music cultures come together in a popular and age-old instrument, the lute; played here by a Chinese (on pipa), a Moroccan (on oud) and a Belgian (on no fewer than four members of the multi-branched lute family). The Chinese guzheng, the Arabic qanun and the European baroque harp add a sensual note with waterfalls of sounds. In Peregrina, all six navigate from one culture to the next, each with their own colour.
