An adventurous troubadour of contemporary music, that's how Blaauw likes to see himself, always on the lookout for exciting challenges, together with composers or instrument builders. Rebecca Saunders, for instance, composed Blaauw for Marco Blaauw’s self-designed double-bell trumpet.
