Participatory project for people with dementia
In our 2021-2022 season we took 10 people with dementia – plus their partner or carer – on a musical journey through Handel's Il trionfo del Tempo e del Disinganno. In four creative and musical workshops, they reflected on that oratorio’s four allegorical characters: Beauty, Time, Pleasure and Truth. Sebastiaan Van Steenberge composed a new choral work on the basis of the resulting material, which the participants will perform together with the Bruges choir Zingen is zijn ('Singing is being').
