As is traditional, the Concertgebouw opens the New Year with a whirl of dance music. Besides the classics of the uncrowned 'King of the Waltz', Johann Strauss Jnr., hits from the Broadway repertoire are on this year’s music stands. This eminently dashing and danceable music evokes dance tunes, drinking parties and merry festivity.
