An anonymous old man wakes up in an institution. He doesn't remember anything. He is suffering from amnesia caused by a virus called ‘Night’. The government sets up a programme to collect and preserve its citizens’ memories, just in case ... But is this virus natural? Was it engineered? The old man slowly regains his memories, but he increasingly starts to question them. Night has come is an essayistic reflection on dystopia, memory and power. The film’s experimental form – alternating amateur footage with historical footage – makes the atmosphere all the more oppressive.
