Nowruz, one of the world’s oldest spring festivals, is celebrated annually at the spring by more than 300 million people worldwide. Nowruz literally means 'new day'. It therefore symbolises the return of light and by extension new life. It is a very important festival in many countries, among them Iran, which was historically known as Persia. Farideh Ghalandari and Shahab Azinmehr give us an introduction to Persian poetry and music. And during the coffee break we get a chance to taste an Iranian delicacy.
