The relationship between mankind and nature in focus
Sarah Van Marcke is very interested in methods and strategies that provide control over life and biotope. Her most recent projects focus on so-called ‘culture followers’: she investigates how plants and animals are adapting to the habitats humans impose on them. This artist slaloms between photography, video and installation, but in a recognisable style that is often an intriguing balance of beauty and humour.
