Closing gala of the AVEC congress on the stage of the Concert hall

Closing gala of the AVEC congress on the stage of the Concert hall

Each year, representatives from industrial poultry slaughterhouses across Europe gather for a sector update. Their 66th major meeting took place in Bruges from September 12 to 14. For three days, over 200 participants had the opportunity to learn from one another and look ahead to future developments and challenges during inspiring sessions and networking moments at the Crowne Plaza Hotel.

Closing of an impactful conference

An impactful conference is not complete without a fitting finale. Right up the alley of event agency True Events, which, on behalf of the Belgian Association of Industrial Poultry Slaughterhouses (VIP vzw), successfully coordinated the three conference days and organised an exclusive closing gala at the Concert hall.

Musical accompaniment to the Concert hall

Musical accents are essential for an event in the Concert hall. A lively brass band greeted the guests upon arrival and escorted them to Foyer parterre, where caterer Deldycke offered a welcome drink. The band then gave the musical signal to take a seat in the Concert hall for the closing speech of the conference. Just as everyone was about to return to the Foyer for the continuation of the dinner, the theatre curtain rose, revealing, to everyone's surprise, a lavish dining area on the concert stage. There, the guests would spend the rest of the gala evening.

Diner 'sur scène'

True Events cleverly utilised the acoustic towers and lighting options from the theatre rigging to create an atmospheric dinner setting. A touch of music from pianist Heli Jakobson, centrally located among the dining tables, completed the experience. Or was it not complete yet? The size of the concert stage allowed True Events to create a second 'wow moment'. After the main course — a creative interpretation of a poultry classic — the theatre curtain suddenly rose again, inviting guests to the backstage area around a 360° bar for a walking dessert & after-drink. A young jazz trio led by Kobe Gregoir swiftly took over from the pianist and provided a sultry closing note to the evening.

Geoffrey Van Hulle, Managing Director of True Events:

'At True Events, we always enjoy the opportunity to offer our guests a unique dinner on stage in the Concert hall. For one evening, guests take the place of artists, and enjoy their dinner surrounded by an impressive decor in a unique atmosphere. A capativating experience for sure!'
