Persian music, poetry and gastronomy in honour of the birth celebration
After the shortest day of the year, Iran and its neighbouring countries celebrate the long Yalda (birth) Night. We open Winter Solstice with the ingredients of this Eastern tradition: Persian Sufi poetry by Hafez and Rumi, with accompanying music by Maker Tristan Driessens and musician friends, such as the virtuosos Shahab Azinmehr and Kayhan Kalhor.
