A spontaneous evening built around Charpentier’s inspiration
The Te Deum, better known as the Eurovision signature tune… Is that the extent of Charpentier’s fame? What can his music mean to present-day musicians? In two master classes and a creative process involving part-time art education, we investigate how the French Baroque can still inspire today’s music makers. The results are presented in a cosy 'Café Improvisé' in which word and music all try to outdo each other.
