Karel has a friend. A very good friend, who understands him better than anyone else. Karel and Karlheinz cherish exactly the same dream: they want to amaze the world with their music. No ordinary music. No simple tunes. No! Music that shines as in an infinite starry sky, that is what they want. They write each other letters, sometimes as many as three a week. Their friendship seems to last forever. But what if one day Karlheinz no longer writes back?

Karel Goeyvaerts is just about the most original and nicest composer who ever lived in Flanders. Annemarie Peeters delved deep into Karel's mind for the book Hoofd vol klanken. In this performance (in Dutch), she uses several letters to echo his thoughts, dreams and music. The narrator on duty is none other than Warre Borgmans. Following the performance, the book Hoofd vol klanken. Verhalen uit de wereld van de muziek will be festively presented to the audience and a signing session will take place.
