On 17, 18 and 19 October 2022, the Concertgebouw was the setting for the YAM-Sessions.
Young Audiences Music Sessions is a renowned and international platform for music productions focusing on young people. Overarching organiser is the globally active NGO JMI.
More than 130 professionals from 12 different countries attended this festival and got acquainted with 12 very diverse musical productions. Numerous workshops, tours and lectures were also organised. Highlight was the awards show in the Chamber Music Hall.
The actual showcases took place in the Concert Hall, which was converted into a black box for the occasion, the Chamber Music Hall, Forum 6 and Studio 1. After each performance, there was time to engage in conversation with the producers and in networking.
All catering, from coffee breaks to lunches and a festive walking dinner on the award night was provided by preferential caterer D's Deldycke on the Concertgebouw Foyer.
Organiser Matt Clark looks back with satisfaction:
"It was a true pleasure to organise an event in this magnificent house of culture nestled between the famed canals, cobblestones and red-bricked roofs of Bruges. The Concertgebouw made sure that all our international guests felt at home and their technical team ensured all our artistic needs were perfectly met. We certainly look forward to being back in Bruges."
