Dancing Down Under
After Montréal and Québec (DD08), Central Europe (DD10), Northern Europe (DD12), Asia (DD14) and the United Kingdom (DD16), this twelfth edition of December Dance focuses on the contemporary dance landscape of Australia and New Zealand!
Under the title ‘Dancing Down Under’, we present the best of our antipodes’ dance scene, featuring new creations by internationally renowned choreographers (Garry Stewart, Lucy Guerin, Anouk van Dijk, Meryl Tankard, Ross McCormack, KIM Jae Duk en Stephanie Lake), but also projects and artists that have a unique voice (Chunky Move, Dancenorth, Serge Aimé Coulibaly, Marrugeku and The New Zealand Dance Company). We naturally also offer opportunities to up-and-coming creators (Nicola Gunn, Melanie Lane, James Batchelor, Luke George and Daniel Kok). And as always there is room for a wealth of context activities. We close with an impressive homegrown family show.
